Triumph and disappointment

Well I finished everything I wanted to… except for the mare. I had her just the way I wanted her but when I tried to add the dapples, everything went wrong.  :(   Turns out that the technique I was going to use only works with pastels. So there goes everything. I painted over the dapples that I ended up doing, because they turned out terrible, but the coloring wasn’t the same as before. So, after shedding a few tears, decided to strip her and start fresh a different day. I was EXTREMELY disappointed mostly because I had spent all day painting her, and because I had her perfect; then everything was messed up 😔😭. But trial and error is part of the process so there’s really nothing you can do about it. 

   Anyway, let me share the things That did go right today. 

I finally finished painting the statues/trophies! They aren’t glued on to the bases yet so they keep falling…

But I think they are going to be really cute. At least one thing went right today 🙄

Braymere Box

 Today I got my long awaited package from   braymere  custom saddlery!!!!!! And I had no idea which horses are going to be in it, so I was super excited when I saw the unmistakable shape and color of …                        Ballynoe Castle RM!!!!!                           I have always loved this mold, and Ballynoe is probably my favorite on it, so, eeeee!!!! And my next surprise horse was to be none other than… Huckleberry Bey! It took me forever to get all the dust off of him, but was definitely worth it! He is gorgeous! The next surprise horse was a total surprise!  I’ve never been a huge fan of this mold, but seeing it in person definitely helped. His color is lovely, and his little star suits him perfectly! The Harness

 My biggest project at the moment is completing this harness.  It’s pretty much done, but needs a few minor adjustments. It’s not even close to being LSQ but considering all I had for materials were: ribbon, wire, and crappy faux leather from the dollar tree, I think it looks pretty good!
